A Successful Virat Kohli Life Story

Virat Kohli, the current India National Team captain as well as the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore team was born on 5th November 1988 to a Punjabi family in Delhi. Virat Kohli has 2 elder siblings, his father Prem Kohli worked as a criminal lawyer and his mother Saroj Kohli was a housewife. At a very young age, by 3 Virat Kohli started swinging his bat and constantly requested his father to bowl at him. Virat was just 9 when the West Delhi Cricked Academy was launched in 1998 and he was one of the very first cricket players admitted to the Academy. He soon moved his practices at the Saviour Convent located in the Paschim Vihar. Throughout his childhood, his father was his biggest support system and stood firmly for his dreams.

Virat soon played for the Delhi under 15, Polly Umrigar Trophy for the 3rd season and with his brilliant performance he was powered to be the captain for the next season.

India’s U-19 team was all set to emark on a tour in England, Virat decided to join the team in July 2006. The team performed extremely well in the ODI and three match test series which was later won by them. At the age of 18, Virat made his debut for Delhi where he had 10 innings to play. Post his father’s death in December 2006, the very next day Virat went on to play for Delhi and he then went on to his father’s funeral which brought Virat Kohli into the spotlight. His dedication towards his team and play was appreciated by the entire country and then there was no looking back for him. He continued to win the hearts of people with his excellent performances one after the other.

Virat Kohli life story involves few of his special achievements include-fastest player to score 6000 runs in ODI, titled as the ICC Cricketer for the year 2011-2012, honoured with the prestigious Arjuna Award in 2013, scored the fastest ODI century by an India with only 52 balls against Australia in 2013 and finally being named as Indian captain.
